Can we do anything about the total lack of references please? WP:GM has done some revamping of the articles under List of people from Greater Manchester which seem to be effective. Internet Movie Database[edit]

Just a nudge that the Internet Movie Database is not, I repeat, is not a reliable source! It is an open source project that can be editted by anonymous individuals just like Wikipedia! It does not have a good record for publishing facts. Anyone can add material to it, meaning many things like birthplaces are based on heresay.

It should not be used on Wikipedia wherever possible. Its use should be supplanted with a reliable, third party, closed, published source.

No probs. I've tried to avoid IMDb where I can. I think in the cases I have used it, there are other sources, but I cannot see them fully on google. (e.g. the gbook search [1] for Vesta Victoria shows good info, but I cannot read the text even in snippet view). I guess I could use them as refs, but I wasn't too keen on doing so without properly knowing what they said. I'll have a further look and see if I can remove the IMDb refs.
