Elizabeth May[edit]

Untitled[edit]

Under the Nobility guidelines for politicians: 'Just being an elected local official, or an unelected candidate for political office, does not guarantee notability, although such people can still be notable if they meet the primary notability criterion of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject."' -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Politicians

I would say that Elizabeth May, Green Party leader of Canada, would fit the criteria of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". However, being a Green Party of Canada member, I am biased on this, and perhaps one may want to ask another Canadian if the press coverage has been significant. After not hearing any objections, I will add her name. jlam (talk) 18:44, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
