Suggested Move of Multiplayer Solitaire Games on This List to a New Multiplayer Solitaire Page

I think the list is extremely lengthy, and should be separated. The plus sign would be better suited to show games which require multiple decks, in my opinion. Adding PySol Games

I don't know how definitive PySol would be considered as a list ... but it's the most extensive open source computer solitaire package that I know of and it has a couple hundred games. I'll keep count of how many I add and try to do them all in one edit for easy "diff"-ing. (And I'll leave out those which use Hanfuda or other non-standard card decks, etc). I added 42 games ... made sure (as best I could) that none were dupes; left out anything described as "relaxed" and the "casino" and "vegas" variants of Klondike (as probably dupes), skipped "Grandmother's" as a probably dupe of "Grandmamma's" guessed that "Fourteen" and "Fourteen Out" would probably be dupes, and similarly for "simple pairs" vs. the existing listing for "pairs" etc. In other words I did my best not to gratuitously inflate the list. Also the G section was not properly sorted. "Gay Gordons" was out of place.

If anyone's curious this was prompted by my recent experiences with Pas de Deux ... which is a demonically frustrating "Montana" like game where you have a tableau of 4 rows by 13 cards and one deck is shuffled and laid out fully ... all face up. Another shuffled deck is used sort of like a talon --- but it only signifies which card in the tableau can be moved. The signified card can be moved horizontally or vertically across the tableau and this will swap it with wichever card you drop it on. The object is to sort all the cards Ace throug King, clubs at the top, then spades, hearts and diamonds in that order. I haven't won one yet ... though I've managed to get within two or three swaps several times ... and only one swap from winning a couple times. Solsuite 2006 Bulleting

Rather than marking everything not in Solsuite 2006, the marking should be reversed, or the distinction removed. This way, people adding new solitaire games can simply add to the list, rather than have to add extra indicators regarding the origin (or, more likely, to not realise they should add the mark, omitting it, and therefore implying that a game is in Solsuite 2006, when in fact it is not) YojimboSan 02:16, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

I hope you can say that, but there are a lot of Solitaire game packages out there (such as Solsuite and Pretty Good Solitaire), but not all of them have the same games. Some of them are exclusive to the game package.

No problem with fixing the identification of Bluemoon, I was disappointed that there was no discussion of the origin in the two software packages I had found. Thanks.

As for the list, your description seems to indicate that the default status of "included in Solsuite 2006" is even less correct. But I don't think I know enough about the subject to attempt a change. YojimboSan 09:17, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Shouldn't this list essentially be focused on those who play only with standard decks? It wouldn't be that hard to focus on, and that is sort of the minimal person who will read it. A pack of cards is cheaper than the standard $19.95 solitaire pack anyways. In my opinion, you should not be marking whether or not it comes with specific game packs here; it should be noted within the specific solitaire game page, at the bottom in an outside link, or a note at the top. We should also realise that there is a good chance that the same game may be included in other video game packs eventually, too. Phil.andy.graves 01:26, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

What is "The Republic"?

I added to the list a page which has a very similar name to a card game already on the list. Should both "one handed solitare" and "One-Handed Solitaire" both be on the list when both page are redirects (to two different articles), and have almost the same name? --Osho-Jabbe 04:46, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Solitaire Card Games that are not played with playing cards.

Should this list card games that are solitaire which are not played with playing cards but other cards like CCGs? There are a few card games out there for single players. Does this list allow them to be listed?Zoinkss (talk) 01:52, 25 February 2009 (UTC)zoinkss

The Golf link is not to solitaire Golf

The golf link here is not to the solitaire game. It is to a different card game of golf, which says something like "This game has little in common with the solitaire game of the same name." The link ought to be fixed.

Now complete: a thorough review and update of the entire list

I have just finished a careful review of the entire list, to ensure that it is accurate and current. Alternate names as well as names of variants covered on Wikipedia are all included.

I've also gone carefully through all the existing articles themselves to overhaul them where needed, and make them more polished and complete.

A significant amount of effort has gone into systematically and accurately reviewing the list of games, so please be careful when making changes to ensure continued accuracy and completeness. Patience or solitaire software

I'm not sure this section is relevant to the article since it is a list of patience/solitaire software packages, not individual games. Also it is intended to be "a very select list of particularly notable and influential examples of software dedicated to solitaire games", but what (and whose) criteria are being applied?
