Criteria for selection?[edit]

It says a "partial list" - is that just a disclaimer because the list doesn't claim to be complete, or is it because there are certain criteria? And if so, what are they? I'm assuming someone just took the first 20 cities of List_of_Belgian_municipalities_by_population, but others like Aarschot were added. So if there turn out to be criteria, I'll remove the ones that don't match those criteria. --Paul Willocx 01:05, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This list is totally misleading as is taking the city part for Brussels vs. the whole of the town for the other ones - Brussels is the largest city in Belgium, as known to all Belgian and clearly explained here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brussels This should be corrected ASAP! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.75.228.252 (talk) 13:29, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with List of Belgian municipalities by population[edit]

No! This comment shows that the concept of Cities does not make clear sense in Belgium. A definition is needed, it exists under an article Status of cities in Belgium. In fact it means villes. It is not the same as municipalities communes, and certainly not the usual sense of large towns.
