The list seems to be weirdly incomplete - there are no rabbits or hares on the list, which contradicts my on-site experience. That is however "own research" if there ever was one and I am not sure what good sources would be - I was always used to go to Wikipedia for these lists!Opisska (talk) 17:13, 15 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at https://www.iucnredlist.org/search and narrowed the search to mammals of Tajikistan (which unfortunately I can't save a link to) and there are no rabbits or hares on their list. I'd guess that's the origin of our list. Like you said, original research can't overrule a reliable source, so I hope someone can add clarification. This is an alphabetical list harvested from the IUCN link above. Note that most are in the form common name scientific name, but some are only scientific name.
