Caligula[edit]

I don't think that Brass' Caligula should be included... it is basically an art film with includes some explicit sex scenes, not different from 9 Songs, Intimacy and many other art films listed in the article Unsimulated sex. Marking the film as "pornographic" is misleading. --Cavarrone 07:18, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't using my personal opinion of the film, it was McDowell who called it porn when he went off on Guccione. The unrated, directors cut does indeed include explicit sex scenes. Many people call even erotic films "porn", or confond softcore and pornography. I don't question the film includes explicit sex scenes, but not differently from Lars von Trier's Antichrist or Larry Clark's Ken Park. Especially in recent years there is an increasing trend in depicting explicit sex scenes in mainstream or art films, the article I linked above provides a quite exhaustive (yet incomplete) list. The questioning of Caligula I think illustrates by this list should probably be deleted. There is no accepted definition of what pornography is anymore. It used to be any film with penetration was pornography. Now you have people playing with the semantics and saying "Oh, because this film had a budget of X and wasn't made by such-and-such a company and features 'real actors', it's an art film, not porn." That violates WP:NPOV. And so is going the other way. If I were a registered user, I'd be nominating this for deletion as I don't think it is savable. People are not going to agree on what is and is not pornography. In some countries kissing constitutes pornography on film. And when HBO and Netflix begin incorporating hardcore sex into their TV series (it's coming sooner than you think) the line is going to be blurred evn more. 68.146.52.234 (talk) 05:18, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sibylle Rauch, Karin Schubert[edit]

Sibylle Rauch should be listed here. She was a 70s B movie star, most notably known for roles in several installments of the Golan/Globus "Lemon Popsicle" (aka Eskimo Limon/Eis am Stiel) franchise. She later went porn for (Polish) German producer Teresa Orlowski Tullius2 (talk) 22:42, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The same applies to Karin Schubert. She had a long list of mainstream roles in her filmography when she switched to porn at the age of 40 in 1985, also for Teresa Orlowski. Tullius2 (talk) 22:42, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
