German Article[edit]

This is actually a list of towns and islands where the lighthouses are located. If you click on one of them, you may get an article that never mentions the lighthouse. Are any of them articles about the individual lighthouse?

I also see no link to a German Wikipedia article. Does such a thing exist? Michael Hardy (talk) 04:30, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No it doesn't exist. The German Wikipedia has a huge common list of European lighthouses with a subsection for Germany. De728631 (talk) 00:17, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As of 2014 there is now this list of German lighthouses which may be worth a look. Similar ones have been done for other European countries...Jokulhlaup (talk) 19:56, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
At Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Lighthouses we have just recently decided upon a new standard for such lists on the English Wikipedia. The current layout of the English list is the result of it. The German list does have a lot if additional parameter like light characteristics etc. but personally I think such details should better be dealt with in the main article. After all, Wikipedia is not a directory of lights. De728631 (talk) 20:48, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply, seems you were aware of it...Jokulhlaup (talk) 17:47, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
