102 year old WWII Survivor[edit]

surviving WWII vets[edit]

My father Bernard V. Long is a WWII veteran. Born 12-31-17. He is alive and well. He was a Sargeant in the army seved in the 660th engineers Real estate 9078 (talk) 20:06, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid he does not meet the notability requirements for this article. There are still thousands of living veterans, and the ones we include here are the last survivors of a specific force, battle, operation, etc. But please thank him for his service. 100th Bomb group inclusion[edit]

John Luckadoo is noted as the last survivor of the 100th bomb group. However there are at-least 3 more members alive; Robert ‘Bob’ Wolfe, Henry ‘Hank’ Cervantes and Jim Rasmussen. Women SOE agents to serve in France[edit]

Phyllis Latour is widely cited as the last female SOE agent to serve in France and died in October last year. however the BBC posted a article about the death of Nicola Trahan, a female SOE agent who served in France. Bataan Death March Survivors[edit]

Jim Bollich is still alive as of Nov 2023. His cousin mentions in the article that there is one other survivor. I cannot not find anything on who that maybe. https://oilmanmagazine.com/article/military-veteran-and-geologist-james-bollich-from-the-service-to-the-subsurface/
