List inclusion[edit]

As another user reverted my cleanup efforts, a list inclusion criteria should be established. As Wikipedia is not a business directory, not a travel guide, not a promotional tool and not an index of indiscrimate information, entries in the list should be restricted to the follow:

  • Entries with blue-linked articles. These must link to a unique article and not just a generic hotel chain article, an article that isn't a hotel at all or any redirect article.
  • Entries with red-linked articles. The same can apply for redirected or unlinked entries. These must be added on the pretense that they are notable and worthy of an article (and not already written). They should be referenced with at least one independent secondary source. The official website for the hotel is not sufficient.
  • Anything else should be treated as not notable and removed as it won't comply with one or more of the above policies.

WP:Write the article first is the best practice to use for these stand alone lists. Ajf773 (talk) 05:00, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What about hotels that were never built? I'm thinking of Trump Ocean Resort Baja Mexico. I'm slightly inclined to leave it in myself. Kendall-K1 (talk) 02:06, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Red links[edit]

This is currently just a list of red links. I propose replacing with the entries in Category:Hotels in Mexico. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:24, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
