Gender[edit]

In Nordic heraldry the griffin is explicitly female. This doesn't really rhyme well with combining the 'King of the Air' and the 'King of the Land'. Is this detail worth mentioning in the article? --178.75.131.245 (talk) 06:27, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
