Quality[edit]

So long as the list does not tell us what titles these governors held, and does not indicate the actual place Egypt held in the structure of the Empire, at different times, and gets most of its links wrong (or just red), it's not of much use to anybody. So whence comes this list of names? I came here from Sossianus Hierocles, who was prefect of this province at some point between 206 & 312, & neither his name, nor the other prefects mentioned in that article, are. -- llywrch (talk) 16:33, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

83.0.233.186 (talk) 14:23, 11 July 2016 (UTC) It clearly contradicts "Prosopography of the Later Roman Empire" in many places - best to disregard this list. Also, the only quoted work here could not possibly serve as a reference - it doesn't have any charts of this kind.[reply]
