Numbering[edit]

Based on http://www.illinois.gov/gov/bio.cfm Rod R. Blagojevich, 40th governor and http://www.igpa.uiuc.edu/about/staff/edgar.asp Edgar, 38th. --Dual Freq 02:33, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Party[edit]

From what I can find, Bond, Coles and Edwards were non-partisan rather than Democratic-Republican, and were only D-R in the sense that every politician in the US could be considered D-R at the time; however, I think it is fair to say that they certainly were elected to the governorship as independents rather than as backers of a party. Status[edit]

We should add a column to the table, giving the governor's status after he served. Indicted, sentenced, or not charged with a crime during his term. Nerfer (talk) 20:44, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Heh. If you're joking, it's funny. If you're not, don't be offended at my laugh, as it's still a great indictment on the state of Illinois government. :) That said, I think we're fine dealing solely with what happened with their gubernatorial term. Though, in the case of Blago, yes, we should say he was convicted, since the trial was directly part of why he was impeached and removed, just as, in the Arizona list I believe, we say someone was impeached and removed, and later exonerated. I'll look into it. --Golbez (talk) 20:53, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
