Edits of Jan 17-27[edit]

If you noticed, I've added a lot of information to this page in the last couple of days. First I moved the old shows names from the main article to here. I reviewed all of the maps and park guides that that can be found on the fan sites and updated the lists of defunct rides, attractions and old shows. Hi, I remember the Bavarian Beetle as being notable for being very exciting lots of twists and turns without causing much stress on the body and in an incredibly tiny space! (Yes, I am aware that this was a very long time ago but I have missed it very much.) I wish the things that made it wonderful (for both adults and kids alike) could be made a part of many modern roller coasters (High excitement with low body torque). Bavarian Beetle was where Woodchuck Express roller coaster is now. I wonder if Kings island has pictures that they might contribute of these rides.
Also, there were two rather long intertwined motorcar rides on guided tracks powered by small gasoline engines that were fun for the kids and actually moved one from one part of the park to another. While the names of these rides escape me one had race car bodies and the other had antique design bodies, great for calming down over excited children.
Yet another attraction that I miss is the waterfall area with chairs and benches that made a great place for taking a break from all the excitement and relaxing ones mind in the water fall sounds. (If I were going to recreate this I would likely use carefully designed amplification to create a larger white noise effect field with less water flowing to save energy).
I will endeavor to remember more old attractions from my experiences at Kings Island to add to the deleted features list and hopefully in enough detail to put it into the article page. Regards,-- Glennndavis (talk) 23:03, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There was also "Star Trek on Ice" back in the early 90's (Maybe 1994 to cross-promote the new Trek flick). Changes in June 2016[edit]

I made some general edits to the rides section. Most of these consisted of shortening the descriptions by changing to a point-form writing style (e.g. "Moved 1986" instead of "The ride was finally moved in 1986".) I made the changes after seeing the statement about a woman who fell from Flight Commander in 1991. The previous statement gave the woman's name and stated her blood alcohol level, alleging she may have become unconscious and fallen from the ride. I didn't feel this was relevant to a list of old rides at a theme park because the connection with alcohol was circumstantial. It's relevant that someone did die, but it's not necessary to give details. The attractions, shows and other sections weren't changed. I don't know anything about this theme park, have never been there and have no conflict of interest. The intent was merely to make the article more concise and to remove the details about the person who died. Roches (talk) 01:50, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, in other areas where incidents are mentioned, we exclude the name and irrelevant details (especially details that are circumstantial). Thanks for cleaning that up.
