Updating the list[edit]

The list is currently (at least up to 1993) a reproduction of the original list of historical earthquakes from the Instituto Nacional de Prevencíon Sísmica (see archived link in the article). Not all of these earthquakes are notable, that is they didn't cause severe damage or fatalities, so those need to be removed. The new version of the INRES webpage includes events up to 2015, which is helpful. I will work on updating the list, removing non-notable events and adding more information and sources.
