Grouping Cuisines Alphabetically[edit]

Hi, I've broken out the Northern Europe cuisine to a flatter structure and it also has the bonus of shortening the article. Part of the problem is that the United Kingdom includes Northern Ireland - but there isn't a separate article on cuisine for N.I. - the only article being for Ireland. Grouping also implies a relationship between the different cuisines, but this is misleading. Scottish cuisine is very different to English cuisine. I suggest an alphabetical arrangement would serve much better for all groupings?? --Bardcom (talk) 10:55, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cuisine of... articles[edit]

These are the remaining Cuisine of... articles. The need to be assessed in order to move them to the Xyz cuisine format.

Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cuisines[edit]

In the List of cuisines we have separate entries for North African, Middle Eastern, and Southern European, all of which are related to Mediterranean cuisine in the broad sense of the term. We somehow need to acknowledge the links in the List of cuisines (with appropriate cap links perhaps). Furthermore, the main articles linked to Middle Eastern cuisine and Southern European cuisine (Mediterranean cuisine) give totally different lists of countries than what we have in the List of cuisines. And there is no link to North African cuisine in the list. This is clearly a problem that needs attention. --Zlerman (talk) 03:49, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Cuisines of present-day nations and states article is redundant to this one and serves no purpose. --Jeremy (blah blah) 04:00, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mexican Cuisine[edit]

If China has its own subdivision inside Asia, I strongly think Mexico should have its own as well, people may not know it, but Mexican cuisine is one of the most diverse in the world, from one state to the other, mayor changes in the ingredients are made, and colors in the food change as well, not to mention the chili. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.254.213.25 (talk) 20:47, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)

White space[edit]

The new layout of this outline is so full of white space that it makes it unusually unwieldy. I am going to add columns to the extremely sections. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 04:11, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fabulous work. Much thanks to you and The Transhumanist for all your work on these 2 articles over the past few weeks. :) –Quiddity (talk) 20:55, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Structure[edit]

This article seems to be confused between being a list and being a normal text article. It begins like a fully cited, illustrated text, then suddenly fades into an uncommented, unreferenced bullet-list. The coverage is strikingly uneven. There is heavy overlap with the articles on Global cuisine, Regional cuisine, which contrary to the merger descriptions above are still in existence. A redesign into a more uniform structure is needed. Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:26, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I was away for awhile. Some threads got lost. I've picked this one up again. I've reformatted this article into list format, and have moved the regional section to the article cuisine and reformatted it into the familiar paragraph style. The Transhumanist 02:51, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
