Destroyed Bridges?[edit]

I think it would be interesting if the list of destroyed or demolished bridges was added... maybe even proposed bridges. I know there is a proposed "New Peace Bridge". I know that the Honeymoon Bridge over the Niagara River where the rainbow bridge is now was destroyed in 1938(?). I also know there is a demolished International Bridge near where the Lewiston Queenston Bridge is and another near the whirlpool Bridge.

I agree and other lists of crossing to make notes of demolished bridges. VerruckteDan (talk) 23:49, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

See Talk:List of crossings of the Saint Lawrence River. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blanchardb (talkcontribs) 02:57, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the {{mergeto}} tag, since no discussion beyond the proposal had occurred at the linked page. TheFeds 19:13, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welland County?[edit]

Every crossing involving Canada states that the crossing is in "Welland County", but Welland County hasn't existed since 1970. All Canadian crossings are in the Regional Municipality of Niagara. 209.90.140.72 (talk) 04:10, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Corrected (albeit five years later). "Welland County" wasn't even correct for all of them in the first place; the Lewiston Bridge crossed into Lincoln County, not Welland County. Algorerhythms (talk) 20:57, 14 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
