Info about Origin[edit]

You removed the region of origin column and the info related info from List of Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh. This info is relevant. Its one of the main reasons for Telangana movement. Even Sri Krishna Committee thought it important to include it. I appreciate your efforts to improve the article. But dont remove the relevant info. Please add your stuff back without deleting the info from the article. If you remove then give them the reason for removing them. Thanks. Ramcrk (talk) 16:54, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've worked on several states' List of CMs articles, and they are just that—a list of the chief ministers, their party and the length of their tenure. Personal info like where they originally come from etc, is excessive and irrelevant for this list. It is best left for their individual articles.

Also, the information is subjective (if he is born in one place, but grew up in another and his ancestors are from a third place--what do we list his native place as?), and mostly not cited to sources.

As for the Telangana agitation, I don't see how that is relevant here; Wikipedia does not function according to the Sri Krishna Committee guidelines. Again, this article should be a simple, objective list of chief ministers, as per the precedent set by nearly every other such articles. There is no need to complicate it with uncited, subjective and personal information.—indopug (talk) 18:07, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article is linked to other Telangana articles where one of the grievances is AP is ruled by non-Telangana people. Given the intensity of the movement I think this info is relevant and needs to be included. If you disagree we can follow other procedures to resolve our conflict. Thanks. I've restored my much-improved version of the article, adding a column for birthplace. I hope this can be status-quo version of the article as we proceed. However, I remain strongly opposed to the inclusion of birthplace/origin details.

"one of the grievances is AP is ruled by"—if this is the case then this information should be there not here. All you need is a sentence like "Barring a few exceptions, Andhra has been consistently ruled by non-Telangana people."

I urge you to refrain from politicising this objective article which should only list non-controversial information like tenure dates and political parties. The "intensity of the movement" is irrelevant to this article.—indopug (talk) 05:25, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. This version Looks good. I am not politicizing. I suspect your bias may be making you to remove the important relevant info with sources. You are the one who is trying to remove info which is there for over last 5years. Even if we put sentence like "Barring a few exceptions, Andhra has been consistently ruled by non-Telangana people.", sooner of later somebody will remove that sentence because there is no source. This way we are not making any statements. We are simply presenting facts. Individual articles of each CM has origin info anyway(so no issue about source) Ramcrk (talk) 06:48, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
