Sourcing[edit]

The source for Film Superlist is reliable and can be used. However TV Tropes is not reliable since it's a website anyone can edit and they don't list where information comes from. -- Green 23:59, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced entries[edit]

This list attracts SPA and IP editors who add entries with no sources. I tried adding "citation needed" tags but they never get resolved. I am now deleting every unsourced entry as soon as it posts. Likewose they often WP:HIJACK a source, those also will be deleted. I've left inline comments so as not to waste editors time. -- GreenC 18:40, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Susie the Little Blue Coupe[edit]

While looking to verify if the short had been renewed, I discovered that it's copyright was in fact not renewed. However, I did discover that the music in the short is still under copyright by Disney. Is there any way to note this on this page? Or should it just be listed on the main page of that short? Added government shorts from Disney[edit]

Please read the top of the page:

Films published before 1929 are not included because all such films are in the public domain

This is for later films which might be in copyright but due to some unusual circumstances have fallen into the PD, which is why ever single entry needs to have a reliable source. -- GreenC 06:43, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That's valid, but the majority of them I obtained from that list are on the external links section of Walt Disney's World War II propaganda production. I thought Wikipedia would not link to those shorts if they are still copyrighted, as that's WP:COPYVIO. 99.118.208.232 (talk) 08:05, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe they are PD? I don't know. The files were uploaded to Internet Archive in 2013 by someone named "Jilly" from poetryhut.com with a comment "if you intend to make $ or otherwise profit from these files, please consider making a donation to a veteran's charity of your choice and/or Archive.org itself." Festival Films[edit]

https://www.fesfilms.com/ .. I don't consider this a reliable source for determining the PD status of a film. It's a commercial reseller of DVD collections.
