100 meters[edit]

Didn't Trayvon Brommel run a 9.97? 03:20, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

In high school, Albuquerque, 9.99 +4.0 means (significantly) wind aided. Trackinfo (talk) 02:52, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hope to see Candace Hill show up on this list. Afan808 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 04:06, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

200 Meters[edit]

Is Trentavis Friday's 20.04 wind aided? making it not legal? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.193.222.74 (talk) 04:50, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It was done at the World Junior Championships, outside of sanctioned high school competition, so it will never get consideration under NFHS. Thus it will possibly be considered by Track and Field news, occurring just 6 days before their self imposed cut off date. On wikipedia, we try to reflect what sources say. Track and Field News has not published anything on their high school records site. I guess we could post it as pending on the theory that it technically qualifies. Trackinfo (talk) 10:06, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do we post wind aided times on this page? Because I think Trentavis' 20.04 is wind aided WanderingE1000 (talk) 04:52, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I looked it up, you are absolutely correct. +2.3 That is why it was listed as pending (publication by T&FN) and obviously why T&FN has not published it. I'm removing that. In a broader sense, that is why wikipedia needs people like you to pay attention.Trackinfo (talk) 08:15, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

High School Weight throw?[edit]

I know it's technically an unofficial event, but can we add it in to the record list? Because there are major competitions with it (like Nike track nationals) WanderingE1000 (talk) 05:01, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

First I'll ask you who is tracking the record? Currently its not T&FN or NFHS. So where would we get a source to declare any one mark the record? Yes, throughout the list we deviate from what is published, but we have a standard criteria to adhere to beyond what is published. We can be more timely. We can take in additional sources of information. We can't just make it up. So first, show us a starting point from some official looking body. Trackinfo (talk) 05:47, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I believe hshammer.com keeps track of the weight throw marks http://www.hmmrmedia.com/2015/01/1115-u-s-high-school-weight-list/ 108.193.222.74 (talk) 17:31, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
