Waycross confusion[edit]

The 2nd item in this table, which links to United States Post Office and Courthouse (Waycross, Georgia, 1913), seems to be the same as NRHP-listed U.S. Post Office and Courthouse (Waycross, Georgia). But the table shows this Waycross, Georgia one as being in Athens, Georgia (they are both in Ware County, Georgia). I'm not sure if Waycross is an area within Athens, or whether there was some mixup when constructing the table, i.e. maybe there needs to be a different Athens entry.

Also, the table's last entry is a supposedly NRHP-listed other place named United States Courthouse (Waycross, Georgia at 601 Tebeau Street in Waycross. I don't find any such place listed in NRHP's NRIS database. The National Register of Historic Places listings in Ware County, Georgia, on the other hand, includes just the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse (Waycross, Georgia) located at 605 Elizabeth St. in Waycross.

I hope this can be sorted out. --doncram (talk) 14:20, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that Waycross is nowhere near Athens. I'll look into it further. bd2412 T 19:08, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Back again, and noticing that the 2nd row describing itself as being in Athens, Georgia, is not found by me in NRHP's NRIS database. It could be a contributing building within Downtown Athens Historic District, perhaps, or another district listed in National Register of Historic Places listings in Clarke County, Georgia (which itself should perhaps be updated to refer to "Athens-Clarke County", the relatively new unified county, which i'll bring up elsewhere). --doncram (talk) 19:33, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
