If someone has the specs to list for the porsche engines its about time it gets updated. (This comment was added without signature.)

I intend to expand the scope of this article from "engines used in Porsche automobiles" to Porsche engines in general, and add some details to the listing. A draft can be seen (please check but do not edit) at User:Yiba/sandbox#List of Porsche engines. As my patience/interest is limited, I can only cover early years up to 1977 or so, and would have to leave the newer engines as presently presented unless someone helps. If someone is willing to help on expanding the draft to later years and/or making the transition from vehicle-based listing to type number based listing smoother, please leave a note on User talk:Yiba. I expanded Boxster and Cayman information and provided references of this information (I don't have "718 Cayman GT4" or "718 Spyder" reference, so I'm not expanding the sections of these cars). By doing so I found the "Remark - Engine Type" problem, which can be summarized in "sometimes what you think is the engine type is instead the Remark and the Engine Type is something else". I believe the adoption of a couple of repetitive structures (probably tables) and the addition of references similar to what I'm using could help the overall view. I have interest only in mid-engine coupe "Porsches" (I made an exception in adding Boxster data), so I don't want to research references to reshape all 911, Panamera, Cayenne, ... sections, of which I have zero interest, and then to play the cop to find out if somebody is breaking my structure for these cars.
I found the last version of Porsche documentation and they changed the data structure and (a little) engine types.
