Season 5?[edit]

Shouldn't episodes 124 & 125 be down as Series 5 as the finale according to the page ended on Sept 19th 2011? 195.188.152.18 (talk)

I'm not following. What do you mean by "according to the page ended on Sept 19th 2011"? I don't understand what you mean. How do you know those episodes part of a fifth season? Nightscream (talk) 02:40, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The wikipedia page states the series finale was 19th September we have episodes for 26th either the date for the finale was incorrect or the two new episodes were for series 5? 195.188.152.18 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:38, 5 October 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Airdate order versus Production order[edit]

Regarding the order in which the episodes "Take the Money and Run" and "Silent but Chumlee" should be listed in the article, User:207.112.47.26 insists that "Silent" should be listed first and "Money" be listed subsequently, the reverse of the order in which they aired and I listed them when first writing them. The following is a message 207.112.47.26 left on my talk page:

hi nightscream, they may have aired it wrong, but if you go back and rewatch the episodes (history website when they put it up or if you have on demand) you will see chumlee reference in the video game deal, about his real life skills of shooting guns on the show. And they include the clip from the PREIVOUS episode of the hat bet. Therefore it would be after the episode not before. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.112.47.26 (talk) 23:10, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi, 207.112.47.26. Thanks for your message. They cannot be aired "wrong", since airdate order is the order by which TV episodes are generally listed on Wikipedia. The fact that a clip from a future episode airs in a prior one doesn't mean that therefore, the one with the clip is listed after. TV shows often produce episodes in an order other than the order in which they air (much in the same way that feature films shoot scenes out of order). For example, Tasha Yar, the character played by Denise Crosby on Star Trek: The Next Generation, died in the episode "Skin of Evil". But in a scene near the end of the episode that aired right before that one, "Symbiosis", Tasha waves to the audience as she leaves the scene. This is because even though she died in "Skin of Evil", "Symbiosis" was filmed after it, and represented her actual last episode before she left the series. Now should the Wikipedia articles list "Symbiosis" before "Skin of Evil"? No. Because the convention is airdate order, not production order.

And if you prefer an example closer to reality television, I'll give one that I myself am a part of: I was the focus of the first filmed segment on the first day of shooting of Season 2 of Comic Book Men back in July, but they still haven't aired my segment, and presumably will do so when that show returns from the Winter break in February. Using your reasoning, should that episode be listed before all the other Season 2 episode that have already aired? Of course not. Again, it's airdate order that's the convention, not production order. Nightscream (talk) 23:33, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I understand what you are saying in regards to wikipedia history for television is more based upon "airdate segmental order vs production segmental orders". I won't be reverting it back because of that. And the first example was good enough. But, congratulations on being part of comic book men. I actually watch the show every now and then. And happy holidays to yourself and family. 207.112.47.26 (talk) 01:31, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. And same to you. :-) Nightscream (talk) 03:37, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

25 and 26 order wrong?[edit]

i think the orders of episodes 25 and 26 are wrong. I didnt watch them when it aired. but the on demand services of the episodes swap the order? can someone clair it the correct order? ```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.206.174.158 (talk) 19:13, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I did watch them, and that is indeed the order in which they aired. Nightscream (talk) 21:06, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Did season 6 end or something?[edit]

did season 6 end up being shorter or something? haven't seen any new episodes is a while.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.206.13.207 (talk) 19:17, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There appears to be month-long break in the middle of each season. Seasons 4 and 5, for example, took a break after the first 30-34 episodes, so Season 6 is presumably doing the same. Nightscream (talk) 01:48, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Strange error between "Season 8" and "Home Releases" headers[edit]

Something weird is going on in this article. If you look at the Season 8 part of the article, you'll notice that the Season 8 episode list is not under that header, instead it is under the next header, Home Releases. Initially I opted to use my preferred method of editing, source code, as I thought this was a simple matter of the list being placed in the wrong section of the article. Upon going into source editing, however, I found that the list did indeed seem to be under the Season 8. Couldn't figure out what the problem was, so I decided to give VisualEditor a shot. Since I have very little experience with VisuelEditor, I had very little idea of what to do. I couldn't copy and paste the episode list, and wasn't even sure how to make a new one either. In the end I opted to simply delete the "Home Releases" header above the Season 8 Episode list and make and make a new one below. After doing this, everything seemed to look the way it should while in VisualEditor, but after I saved it, everything after Season 6 on the article was deleted and I got the following was at the bottom in red text "Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page, but the references will not show without a

template (see the help page)." The results of my editing can be seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Pawn_Stars_episodes&oldid=580252378
Any idea what the problem might be? –Nahald (talk) 03:48, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think there are 29 seasons[edit]

See http://www.history.ca/pawn-stars/video/season-29/full-episodes/blades-of-deal/video.html?v=1175756867975

Not sure why this is divided into 15. OnDemand says "S.29 E.31" for this as well.

BLADES OF DEAL Season 29 ⋅ Episode 31 CAN'T PAWN ME LOVE Season 28 ⋅ Episode 23 SWORD PLAY Season 20 ⋅ Episode 26 PAWN OF THE JEDI Season 20 ⋅ Episode 8

All visible at http://archive.is/b7A7L we should fix this! 64.231.171.42 (talk) 04:33, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Re-adding episodes[edit]

I don't know who did it but someone removed 2 years worth of episodes from the page. Could someone put them back in? Anchorman43 (talk) 19:42, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What was removed was copyright-protected synopses that were plagiarized verbatim from History's official website for the show, in violation of WP:COPYVIO, WP:TONE, etc, by Marinillac and Peegies, as I explained in the edit summaries that accompanied my removal of that material. I tried to retain a number of synopses that were capable of being paraphrased with simple copyediting, which you can see in the Seasons 9 - 16 tables, so that they're at least a bit closer to the standard that I set when I painstakingly wrote the synopsis for Seasons 1 - 7. If you want to add synopsis for those empty episode cells, then by all means, please do so, but only if it conforms to Wikipedia policy, and copyright law. Nightscream (talk) 14:13, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm aware of the copyright-protected issue, I just meant could someone put in the episode titles and air dates? Anchorman43 (talk) 20:52, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Someone removed the episode titles and air dates? I didn't know that. Did this happen recently, or some time ago? Did you check the article's edit history to see when this happened, and which editor did it? Sorry I misunderstood you. Nightscream (talk) 22:19, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think it was less than a week ago. Also I tried to check the history page but there were so many edits I could not tell when it happened. Anchorman43 (talk) 01:51, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Can you go back to before the removal occurred, and point to the seasons and/or episodes that were once in the article, but are no longer there now? That way, I could restore them. Nightscream (talk) 14:01, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, here you go. Every episode after March 2019 was removed. In case you need a reference guide, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Pawn_Stars_episodes&direction=next&oldid=1015336763 Anchorman43 (talk) 21:10, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The version of the article you linked to shows episodes up to January 11, 2021. Nightscream (talk) 03:35, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm aware of that, I just don't know if there is a version of the page that is up to date. Anchorman43 (talk) 21:24, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This might work better. https://play.history.com/shows/pawn-stars#episodes Anchorman43 (talk) 01:05, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
How does that work better? That's History's website for the show, which I am well-acquainted with, as I consulted it when removing the copyright violations. It doesn't show me which episodes were removed from this article.
You say that you don't know if there's a version of the page that is up to date. But isn't that what you said above? That there were episodes in the article that were removed? Nightscream (talk) 01:32, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I meant you could check the wikipedia page for the episodes that it has now and compare it to the history website and re-add the titles and air dates for episodes that aired after 2019. Even if you are not able to add the descriptions of each episode. Anchorman43 (talk) 01:39, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
By the way when i said i don't know if there is a page that is up to date, I meant with the most recent episode. The page generally is behind on adding new episode titles and air dates. Anchorman43 (talk) 01:43, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm talking about the ones you say were removed from this article. For the moment, let's focus on that. You said on April 14 that they had been removed less than a week prior, which means April 7 or later. Can you point to the version of the article in which they appeared?
