Swimming at the Summer Olympics#Olympic records[edit]

A list of Olympic records in swimming already exists on the Swimming at the Summer Olympics which is more up to date and technically correct. It is also the page linked to from the Records in swimming template. I suggest nominating this page for deletion. Yboy83 (talk) 17:27, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

Both pages duplicate the same information. I propose one of the following:

Delete List of Olympic records in swimming and create redirect to Swimming at the Summer Olympics#Olympic records
Remove section Swimming at the Summer Olympics#Olympic records, replacing with {{main|List of Olympic records in swimming}} or similar.
- In this case, List of Olympic records in swimming should be renamed Olympic Games records in swimming to match other records in swimming pages (see Category:Swimming records)

I believe the original format was just fine, this "standardised format" you're talking about with "meet" etc? What's that all about? The article is now a complete mess. Please practice edits in a sandbox rather than in the mainspace. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:31, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
