potential resource[edit]

The Costanso book, ISBN 0944220061 has many 'first hand' descriptions of Ohlone villages in 1769. BruceHallman 15:45, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Minor change[edit]

Change: I removed the word tribelet in my structure, the Ohlone feel its is demeaning, and I tend to agree, so I have come up with the final page sorting structure:

  • Level 1 Region (sorted north to south)
    • Level 2Tribe/Village (sorted alphabetically)
      • Level 3 ^mutifamily units or villages inside the tribe; bands (also alphabetical). Goldenrowley 16:11, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Puichon Tribe[edit]

The Puichon tribe of the San Fransquito creek area(Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Mountain View) spoke the Ramaytush language. They are grouped as SF Peninsula and they spoke Ramaytush language. Here is a link with sources. http://books.google.com/books?id=kRQrAQAAIAAJ&q=Puichon+palo+alto&dq=Puichon+palo+alto&hl=en&ei=ia7eTaDXLtPXiALT7cjUCg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CDEQ6AEwAQ. This is from a Book called "A timr of little choice: the disintegration of tribal culture in the San Francisco Bay area, 1769-1810" Therefore I will be removing them as Santa Clara Valley Ohlones and placing them under the SF Peninsula. Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Mountain View are first and foremost located on the SF Peninsula. 2nd, the Puichion spoke Ramaytush like other San Francisco Peninsula Ohlones and not Tamyen like the Ohlones from the Santa Clara Valley — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.14.62.223 (talk) 19:46, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
