Created the article

I created this article based on the format of two featured lists: Chicago Bears seasons and Minnesota Vikings seasons. I hope this one meets the excellent example set out by those two. --Jayron32|talk|contribs 04:22, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Tied for first??

How can you (when the NFL doesn't) have the Patriots tied for first and explain it by citing that only because of tiebreakers did they not make the playoffs? If you lose a tie break er how can you still be tied? If these were accurate then the NFL can't have something to BREAK it-- the tie. This smacks of POV almost, especially when the league and other news sources do not claim this.

I think it is putting logic (and wikipedia) on its head to rationalize a TIE with the citation of that TIE being that it BROKE because of a TIE BREAKER. Doesn't the Tiebreaker define why there can in no way possibly be a TIE? W-L records are the first tiebreaker obviously but you can tie a team in the NFL in several tiebreakers but still be second. I think to represent your season as something other than that is not in the best practice of wikipedia.

Pre-FLC review

• Very minor point, but the hidden link to AFL–NFL merger has some odd capitalization and an incorrect hyphen. I know they don't show up in the lead, but I'm picky about these things.
• The Patriots are actually tied for third in Super Bowl appearances with the Broncos, not in solo third.
• It appears that the Patriots have won eight division titles under Belichick, not nine.
• I'm surprised not to see "he is" or something similar after the semi-colon in the last sentence of the lead.
• In the table, the second words of Regular Season and Post Season should be decapitalized; also, I think the latter is one word or has a hyphen in the middle.
• Note c could use a cite (feel free to borrow one from here.
• As a general note, all of the similar featured lists were done before the accessibility standards were raised a while back. There may be something new that must be done that none of the existing models have, but I'm not sure. If an issue comes up, I recommend asking User:RexxS, who can answer any questions you have. Listing of the coaches

I feel that it is highly redundant to list the head coaches in this article due to there already being a separate page that individually lists all of the details.ThatSportsGuy (talk) 22:01, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

I reverted your change because the information seems relevant. I notice you're engaging in an edit war on other pages on this subject, please provide a reason for removing it.
