Give me a sign[edit]

"Give me a sign" and "Akropolis", despite their common parts, are different songs.

They were already marked with a '*', denoting a derivative composition, not the same one.--maf (talk-cont) 00:20, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, on Jarre website the setlist has "Hymn to the Acropolis (orchestral version of Give Me a Sign)" which means that Acropolis, Journey to Pekin and Tribute to John are all versions of Give Me a Sign. [1]

Recent deletions[edit]

As the editor who started this article (as a summary from a thread in a web forum), I'd like to point to the editor who has recently been deleting entries because old and new titles do not refer to "the same track", that she may have failed to notice that:

a) those entries were marked with a *;
b) "Titles followed by a * denote a derivative composition using the same main melody, not just a retitling." (from the intro text).

I tried to register in the forum mentioned in one of the edit summaries but have still to be confirmed by its admin. As I cannot intervene there, I'm leaving this note here. Please either reinstate the deleted entries (if they are indeed derivative compositions), or repurpose the article and remove the entries marked with a *. Thank you.--maf (talk-cont) 01:20, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be better to have 2 lists, maybe in this same page, one listing compositions which has been renamed sometime, and one listing derivative compositions. Equinoxe 06:48, 12 November 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Equinoxe (talkcontribs)
That's a good, simple solution. To do. --maf (talk-cont) 17:36, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oxygen in Moscow[edit]

Oxygen in Moscow is NOT Oxygene 12 from Odyssey, they are different tracks, but this still might be a remix of Oxygene 12, will compare it later.

Chronologie / Chronology[edit]

The album Chronologie has been re-issued this year (2015) and named Chronology for the first time. I guess this should be added to this list.Oxygene7-13 (talk) 13:24, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
