Omri Casspi is not Ashkenazi jew. His father's name was Swisa - a north african name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.76.61.23 (talk) 11:41, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
Relevance of list[edit]
Israeli Ashkenazi Jews are about 40% of the country's population. The list is a bit of an overkill. DGtal (talk) 21:55, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- More over:
- Many of the persons on this list are secular Jews, how were born in Israel, so it really does not matter where their grand parents were born.
- Many secular Israeli Jews, who are considered to be Ashkenazi, are not. That includes persons with classic Ashkenazi names, like Shmulik Kraus, Yehudit Ravitz, and David Bonfeld. The first two had a non-Ashkenazi mom, and the third came from a family, that had an Ashkenazi name, in Morocco. Eddau (talk) 06:15, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
