Swathi Thirunal[edit]

Swathi Thirunal already has a page. He wrote and composed music, but he was not a poet. Tintin 12:34, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dead Links[edit]

PLEASE DO NOT put a name up without an article or dates. The poet listed is Bengali so this may not be a proper link. WayneRay 16:26, 7 May 2006 (UTC)WayneRay[reply]

You are right in your concerns about Tagore. However, on what basis do you claim we should not put up a name without an article or dates? Is this policy? If so, where can it be debated? Hornplease 14:49, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Generally speaking, lists like this must be 99% links to already written articles. if a name is notable, but doesnt have an article written on them, references must be provided here showing the writers notability, not just that he exists. a name, either redlinked or not linked, without any other information attached to it, has no way of being verified as notable. it could easily be made up, and most english language editors would not know. its the responsibility of editors adding names to lists to show notability, not the responsibility of editors removing names to show they are not. ive trimmed some names, added some hidden text for clarification.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 07:03, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am adding the name of Ambarish Srivastava in this article, Professionally he is a notable architectural engineer as well as he is notable as a poet. Spjayswal67 (talk) 15:54, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
