Spoilers[edit]

Not Agreed! It's an encyclopedia not an H2O sponsored advertisement. In the spirit of making the maximum possible knowledge available, all seasons should be available. If we follow your argument, all summaries of all episodes (or any summary of any book on wikipedia) should be removed just in case not every person on earth had a chance to watch them ... clearly not reasonable. They have been aired in Belgium and Netherlands. Maybe we can add a spoiler warning at the beginning. (it was suggested days ago and removed. Okay, I can see both sides of the story here. Though I wasn't logged in at the time, I have been providing the summaries for these episodes. I am aware of the fact that in Australia, these episodes haven't been aired yet, but I thought I was doing something good by - as the previous contributor said - making the maximum possible knowledge available. I am prepared to put summaries for the remaining episodes up, but I'm also prepared to do this only as they air in Australia, or do it with a spoiler warning. I have heard about other countries airing the series and I think your point on maximum possible knowledge is very important too. I agree that the names of the episodes should be left in aswell. But in Australia they have only aired up to episode 17. Many people would not want to know what happens next by spoilers, but watch them to see for themselves. I think that what was suggested, putting the episode names in, is reasonable. Some fans of the show may not want to know what happens next and that would ruin the other episodes for them. I think the episode names and Australian airdates are fine for inclusion, it was the summaries I was concerned with. I'm curious, though, where are the episode names coming from? That's a good idea to include the airdates for Australia aswell as the names of the episodes. The episode names are coming from, possibly, people who are from Netherlands or Belgium. I still disagree with the notion of suppressing available information. Wikipedia is not about protecting people form possibly "harmful" facts. In the case of a television show this is relatively minor problem. In the greater content of information management, this is a horrendous problem that wikipedia has to deal with all over the place. The current solution of simply leaving out the summaries for the latter episodes seems dicey. But since we are only talking a couple of weeks, and the issue is a fairly trivial one, I think it would be silly to fight about this.

I was wondering about the episode names as well, but then I found the website of the channel the episodes were aired on (Nederland 3). Hmm, I agree with the fact that it isn't fair, however I can see both sides of the story. After all, there might be someone who can't watch H20 and would like to read about it, or someone in Australia might want to watch it or read about it online earlier. I think this could be resolved by maybe writing the episode plots, while not giving away too much. That way, when people in Australia have watched it, they can add in facts. Even if we write in the episode plots we are giving away something. Many people do not want their viewing to be spoiled and watch the episode for themselves. The series is almost finished so there wouldn't be much point to filling the summaries in.

Vandalism[edit]

A couple of days ago, I was looking at the Australian air dates, and found that all of season 1 had been deleted!

Summary[edit]

I was wondering if the summary of each episode is done right. I mean, if this is an encyclopedia, shoudn't the summary be complete, not like an advert for atracting watchers "Will Lewis arrive in time to save the mermaid secret?" that sort of thing. I think that it shoud say exactly what happens "...but Louis comes in time to save the girls secret." You are absolutely correct. Also, the problem exists that people are pulling summaries from the australiantelevision.net/h2o website and pasting them here, which is a copyright violation. I'm no longer able to watch the series, so I cannot contribute. If you would like to do so, please feel free to write brief summaries in place of the ones currently there. If you need any assistance, let me know. For those who wish to help you might find this website helpful as episodes 29-51 are available to watch there. Also this page is apparently a copyright violation of http://australiantelevision.net/h2o as already stated above by hunster. I used to be able to watch online, but don't have that option now. As for spoiler alerts, they used to be placed in articles just to warn people as you say, however, it was determined amongst a wide number of editors that they were unnecessary and in fact detremental to the website. We do not censor material and we do not hold people's hands on the pages they visit. Terminology[edit]

I noticed that in many places each year is referred to as "series one" and "series two". I'm not familiar with the show, and don't have access to it (that I'm aware of). My question is: would it be better to say "season one" and "season two" rather than series? — Ched (talk) 15:31, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently Nick UK just announced that series 3 will be airing there in mid-October, so I would assume that it will air before or around that same time in Australia (thus coinciding with the long-standing rumours of an October release). According to the Sky magazine in UK new episodes will air on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th & Thursday 21st Janaury at 4.55pm on Nickelodeon (604)

I know, last time i checked this page yesterday and it said it will "premiere 5 March 2010" next thing I know, it's not. Checked the listings in sky magazine -- tomorrow's episode is "Lovesick". tv.com says it already premiered 18 November 2009. What is wrong with internet, people?!?! Edit summaries[edit]

Episodes using ..., etc.[edit]

OK, I have been reading over this page and, it may just be me, but it seems to be...not opinionated, but...I don't know what, unencyclopedic I guess. It uses things that I would generally write when creating a fictional story. I can't recall a particular line, but I'll try to make it sound something to do with the plot. "But there's a surprise for Emma-Charlotte discovers she's a mermaid." "But Lewis figures out he's in love with someone...Cleo." "But will the girls be able to keep their secret?" It sounds more...this wouldn't be included in an Encyclopedia, which is exactly what Wikipedia is meant to be.
