Fair use rationale for Image:Dwgoslp.jpg[edit]

Image:Dwgoslp.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merger proposal[edit]

I feel that the characters nominated should be merged as they aren't sourced. Dwanyewest (talk) 15:56, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I support the merge proposal. Most of those characters have not managed to prove notability by receiving deep coverage from reliable secondary sources, independently from DuckTales. Also, none of them have impact in popular culture. --LoЯd ۞pεth 04:41, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I also support the merge proposal; Opeth is correct in his assessment. Neelix (talk) 18:30, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the merging, but the Darkwing Duck (character) page is huge. It might overcrowd this article. --TheBearPaw (talk) 13:05, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The Darkwing Duck (character) article consists almost entirely of plot summary; it should be significantly curtailed anyway. Neelix (talk) 16:59, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As there was no opposition, nor improvement of the articles, I will perform the mergers. --LoЯd ۞pεth 04:16, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mass deletion?[edit]

Do the majorities of these entries really need to be here? Most of them are one-off villain or heroes of the week who have absolutely no long-term effects on the story. It makes sense to include some one-time characters who play a larger role (such as Dr. Slug, who's often referenced despite his one time appearance), but it seems to be getting pretty crufty to include Quackerjack's toy henchmen, or characters who appear and are defeated in one episode, never to return.64.134.29.175 (talk) 15:51, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

Most of this article contains one-off characters (characters of the week), mostly the "other characters" section. Once those entries are removed and the excessive plot summary is trimmed, there's hardly still an article. Sections such as "main characters", "The Muddlefoots", "The Fearsome Five" and "F.O.W.L." I think should be preserved in particular while the other sections should be mostly removed. If consensus is against merging, then this article should definitely be cleaned up such that it is legible and isn't loaded with intricate plot details.—Mythdon (talkcontribs) 18:05, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support majorly trimming article! If, after doing that, there isn't much content left, support merging back to the parent article. But the vast majority of this article consists of Primary source INUNIVERSE-type sourcing, which suggests that most of the content of this article is not independently notable and should be cut. --IJBall (contribstalk) 18:22, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Would be good to see a version in draft. Just as a comment to IJBALL, the content itself does not need to be independently notable, if it were, those characters would have their own article. --Gonnym (talk) 20:17, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • This was flagged for review in my inbox and I see that no previews or other discussions have happened in a year. On its face, it seems clear that merging this massive list of characters into the main page would make it "too long or clunky," according to wiki guidelines -- there are more than 23,000 words in this page. Since this has been stuck for this long with a review request coming in, I'm removing the merge suggestion at this point. Technutt (talk) 19:23, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've now removed the other template too. Klbrain (talk) 13:21, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Resolved

The similarities between the voices of Megavolt and Krusty the Clown are too noticeable[edit]

They are even voiced by the same person. Just watching them and comparing is all that is needed. [1] [[2]] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:447:4080:10:9554:B807:AD8A:78D9 (talk) 23:38, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Splatter Phoenix's name[edit]

Isn't Splatter Phoenix's name a reference to another fictional character? I'm just blanking on what it is. 2603:900A:1402:E1C1:5929:65CC:75DE:93BF (talk) 18:18, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
