Someone added "* Berlin has several dozens of Christmas Markets. The "City" Christmas Market attracts more than 4 million visitors annually; and Christmas Market in Spandau attracted 1.8 million visitors in 2006[1], [2]" to the article. This really isn't in a list format so I'm moving it here so I or someone else can research the names, then add them to the list. Chupper 21:20, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
For Germany, I think the section should be rearranged. It took me years to find out that there are many more Christmas Markets than those which are heavily promoted, and on various travel message boards you can find countless questions regarding this. I suggest that the markets be re-arranged by city, put in alphabetical order, and that the official name of the market (or in the East of Germany, more likely Frohes Fest) follow that. Berlin is an example of what I believe would work better, and also accomodates cities which have multiple markets, which is common. Additionally, some of the perfectly nice markets in smaller towns don't seem to have a name at all, or they name is known only to local people. At at the moment, a person needs to have the exact name to make an entry, with the odd example that Cologne, one of the most famous Christmas Market Cities, has no entry at all. NoelleP
