Boston Yanks Players - Tom Rodgers[edit]

Hi,

The player "Tom Rodgers" connects to an incorrect person. This was my father who played for the Boston Yanks but the connection is not him. My father's history was that he was the "All-State" Pennsylvania tackler and received a full scholarship to Bucknell. From there he entered WW2 and became a navigator for the Army Air Corp over Europe stationed in England. Once the war concluded, he was recruited by the Boston Yanks. Upon their dissolution, instead of transferring with the team, he reentered the Army, was stationed in Germany as part of the Occupation Force. He then transferred to Counter Intelligence, eventually putting in his 20 years. His military career spanned WW2, the Cold War and the Vietnam War. After the military, he used his teaching degree he received at Bucknell to teach junior high in Las Vegas, NV. Upon retirement from teaching, he became a rancher. He died of cancer in Las Vegas, NV.

If you need any more specific information, I can supply.

Thank you.
