Episode summaries[edit]

Please don't copy episode summaries from the Naruto wikia. We can't do that. Write your own summaries instead. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 22:11, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting up Seasons[edit]

Three DVD Boxes have been released now. Should we split up the different banks of episodes into seasons, like how Shippuden was split? CommunityFlow (talk) 15:36, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not so sure. Viz Media confirmed that they'll release home media of Boruto starting next year and I don't understand what order should we follow.Tintor2 (talk) 20:17, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Flowerpiep:, @1989:

Shouldn't we just go by arc for each season like Shippuden. VarisKnight (talk) 03:32, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The thing is that Shippuden's DVDs were divided in seasons. Aniplex didn't divide story arcs of Boruto and instead combined some.Tintor2 (talk) 17:55, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
We can do it like then, since Naruto Part 1 is listed like that. VarisKnight (talk) 05:45, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with VarisKnight Kidkickme (talk) 18:37, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Episode Seasons[edit]

When is it time to start splitting up the episodes into season since the page is starting overlord due to the summaries. SpectresWrath (talk) 21:41, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We need an official way to divide them Tintor2 (talk) 19:22, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That’s not what MOS:TVSPLIT seems to be stating. In fact, it appears it’s specifically mentioning if there are no seasons to split them up by episode count.--GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 03:09, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

English air date[edit]

Technically, home video release dates are not air dates. If that were the case, the List of Naruto: Shippuden episodes English air dates should be filled with the English home video release dates instead of waiting for the Toonami broadcast dates. Air dates after episode 52 (October 20, 2019) should be blanked until the series effectively be broadcast on TV. - Xexerss (talk) 03:42, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

List split proposal[edit]

Per MOS:TVSPLIT, I am proposing that this article be split in in pairs of 52 episodes an article, seeing at how we’re currently at 250kB of data and still have no official season split. The new articles would be:

List of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episodes (1–52)
List of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episodes (53–104)
List of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episodes (105–156)
List of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episodes (157–208)

And, the following one would be:
List of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episodes (209–current)

List of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episodes — would be the main article hub for these lists like List of One Piece episodes is to seasons.

Approve or oppose below.GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 03:06, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Approve I'd rather choose an official division by the division but if there is none, I'll say go on with this one.Tintor2 (talk) 11:34, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Good. Bradford (Talk)  22:19, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Approve The page is reaching its limit. SpectresWrath (talk) 01:07, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@GalaxyFighter55: Not too many responses but it seems that splitting that in such order might be the best especially with the arrangements of some DVD boxes which are identical to the Japanese version both in terms of episodes amount and even covers.Tintor2 (talk) 20:49, 7 June 2021 (UTC) @GalaxyFighter55: I divided the list per your suggestions but I don't know to create sublists so feel free to split the list.Tintor2 (talk) 00:47, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I made the pages but might need help with the aftermath. SpectresWrath (talk) 01:30, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A new way to split up Boruto into seasons[edit]

Major update regarding a new splitting plan @Xexerss: @Tintor2: @Bradford:

As you know, 2 years ago I proposed a split based on 52 episodes. But we now have an official means of splitting up the series by seasons from as official of a source as you can get: the official Naruto / Boruto website.

The 22 Shippuden season articles were split from 29 story arcs based on DVD listings, so this is an acceptable means of dividing Boruto into seasons: JP citation EN citation (incomplete list)

Now, we do not need to be plagued by 20+ season articles that aren't even conventionally called that such with story arcs that can be as small as several episodes. You can go look at Shippuden's season episode listings and the JP DVD volume table in each season tab for a guide on how was can potentially turn this a larger merged season count.

This is my seasonal article division proposal. Green tickY means keep as is by itself and Red XN means a proposed story arc merging into a single season article based on grounding evidence I've found. Question? can't really be based on anything certain due to any particular situation they're stuck in:

  • 1: Academy Entrance (#1–15, 15 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 1–2 due to April & July 2017 broadcast season alignment + matching OP/ED theme song set (#1–24, 24 episodes)
  • 2: Sarada Uchiha (#16–24, 9 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 1–2 due to April & July 2017 broadcast season alignment + matching OP/ED theme song set (#1–24, 24 episodes)
  • 3: Field Trip (#25–32, 8 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 3–5 due to October 2017 & January 2018 broadcast season alignment + matching OP/ED theme song set (#25–50, 26 episodes)
  • 4: Academy Graduation (#33–39, 7 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 3–5 due to October 2017 & January 2018 broadcast season alignment + matching OP/ED theme song set (#25–50, 26 episodes)
  • 5: Byakuya Gang (#40–50, 11 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 3–5 due to October 2017 & January 2018 broadcast season alignment + matching OP/ED theme song set (#25–50, 26 episodes)
  • 6: Chunin Exams (#51–70, 20 episodes) Green tickY
  • 7: Mitsuki's Disappearance (#71–92, 22 episodes) Green tickY
  • 8: Naruto Shinden (#93–105, 13 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 8–9 due to sharing of the Shinden title (#93–115, 23 episodes)
  • 9: Konohana Shinden: The Steam Ninja Scrolls (#106–115, 10 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 8–9 due to sharing of the Shinden title (#93–115, 23 episodes)
  • 10: Time Slip (#116–136, 21 episodes) Green tickY
  • 11: Mujina Gang (#137–156, 20 episodes) Green tickY
  • 12: Kara Actuation (#157–176, 20 episodes) Green tickY Question? → See #13 below
  • 13: Vessel (#177–192, 16 episodes) Question? → Potential merge this with Kara Actuation? Probably keep as is by itself
  • 14: Kawaki: Kara Clash (#193–205, 13 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 14–15 due to matching main title (#193–220, 28 episodes)
  • 15: Kawaki: Otsutsuki Awakening (#206–220, 15 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 14–15 due to matching main title (#193–220, 28 episodes)
  • 16: Chunin Re-Examination (#221–232, 12 episodes) Question? → Up for a group debate but there's no equally surrounding small arc to merge it with, so probably keep as is by itself
  • 17: Great Sea Battle of the Hidden Mist Village (#233–260, 27 episodes) Green tickY
  • 18: Kawaki and Himawari: Ninja School (#261–273, 13 episodes) Red XN → Merge 18–19 due to small individual episode counts and neighboring each other (#261–281, 21 episodes)
  • 19: Labyrinth Game (#274–281, 8 episodes) Red XN → Merge 18–19 due to small individual episode counts and neighboring each other (#261–281, 21 episodes)
  • 20: Sasuke Retsuden (#282–286, 5 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 20–21 due to January 2023 broadcast season alignment + matching OP/ED theme song set (#282–293, 12 episodes)
  • 21: Code (#287–293, 7 episodes) Red XN → Easy merge of 20–21 due to January 2023 broadcast season alignment + matching OP/ED theme song set (#282–293, 12 episodes)

We have the time to go about this and there's no rush to get this done ASAP, so take your time in reviewing it. Any feedback is welcome and I'll allow 3–7 days of discussion if it needs in case of any objections.
