Sam & Molly are missing from Season 2.Yickbob (talk) 01:09, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Dann Chinn (talk) 13:43, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nicely done! --Yickbob (talk) 07:15, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't Annie's mother Carmen be in the Series 2 list? She did appear in an episode. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.110.34.179 (talk) 21:04, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

True. Another item on my "to do" list... :-) - Dann Chinn (talk) 13:14, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And, unbelievably, we seem to have forgotten Chief Constable Wilson too! - Dann Chinn (talk) 12:47, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers/Wrong place for information?[edit]

Although I've just been working on tidying up this page and improving it, it strikes me that the page as it stands might be too full of spoilers. Should some of this information be moved to entries on individual series/episodes? Should there be a use of spoiler tags? - 86.144.68.155 (talk) 22:27, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Some material should definitely be moved to episode articles once they have been properly set up, and spoiler tags employed wherever appropriate. - Dann Chinn (talk) 13:50, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Actually we don't use spoiler tags here. WP:SPOILER. That said, a fair amount of what's in the character listings at the moment is plot summary not character info. This is something that is rampant throughout the project and not limited to this particular character list. They need more real world information (casting, choices the actors made, etc.) and less plot. Millahnna (talk) 18:38, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting off characters[edit]

I'd like to suggest that several characters now deserve their own standalone articles - Mitchell, George, Annie, Nina and Herrick - as this article is getting long and unwieldy. Also, as suggested above, some information is too spoiler-y and should be moved to individual episode summary articles and marked with spoiler tags. (This can be done once the invidual episode articles are set up.) - Dann Chinn (talk) 13:50, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Part of the reason the article is long and unwieldy is because it's been edited incorrectly over time. We have practically no real world info on the characters. Instead it's all plot summary that's mostly better suited to the episode listings (and seriously pruned down at that). Some plot summary is to be expected for a character article (be it individual or list of), of course, but ideally what we should actually have here are references to how actors were cast, the decisions they made in portraying certain scenes etc. As the information stands now, I can't say that any of these warrant splitting off into their own article - it would just be a completely unreferenced piece with zero real world info that would get an in universe tag the second it was created (if it wasn't nominated for deletion right off). Millahnna (talk) 23:05, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Accepted (as is my own part in contributing to the unwieldiness). Having said that, I have just been looking at Wiki entries on Buffy characters and can see possibilities for how individual BH character pages might be set up. Admittedly BH does not have advantage of the sheer volume of documentation and commentary BVS (for better or worse) enjoys, but there are still a good number of interviews and features out there plus at least one published series guide which could provide a useful body of supporting references. I will look into this. Your point re casting and approach still stands, but can be covered via mining the aforementioned interviews and features where possible. - Dann Chinn (talk) 13:13, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The Buffy character pages should be pretty good templaes to go by - I know a few of them have been good articles in the past and probably still are such. I think the [[WP::TV]] project page lists some featured or good articles that might be helpful for splitting but I'm not sure if they list any list of pages that would be helpful here. That said, I know back in series one I saw some articles talking about the recasting of Annie and Mitchell. I didn't bookmark them (because I'm an idiot) but I'll poke around and see if I can find them. I'm positive I remember reading a quote from new!Mitchell about approach to some late series one stuff but I'll have to dig through the entirety of the Television WIthout Pity thread for the show to find the link. If I can track anything down I'll drop it here on the talk page. I commend you and the above IP for making efforts to improve the page. I've been meaning to do the same for the True Blood characters page forever but it's a pretty overwhelming task. Millahnna (talk) 00:27, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. Am working on pages for the main five characters now. More information can be dug up from tv.com (if it's acceptable as referencing on Buffy pages, it's should be accepted for Being Human too. The Guardian also has plenty of BH references. - Dann Chinn (talk) 08:25, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As the current series will be the show's last, it seems time to put this plan back into action. I'll start work on this over the coming months, but if anyone else wants to work on it too, feel free to do so - I'll be supportive. Dann Chinn (talk) 10:02, 11 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
After Annie Sawyer was created some years ago, I have created pages of George Sands, John Mitchell, Nina Pickering, Tom McNair, Alex Millar and Hal Yorke, as each of these lead characters is as important for Being Human. However, I have not created a page about Herrick, as suggested here. To write these pages is a lot of work - exspecially for a non-natural speaker (plus needing to reference everything) and I do not even know if it is really necessary. I mean we still have a Being Human wikia for these things. Herrick is an important character, I agree, he is propably the most important antagonist of the whole series. But I think it is propably enough to add the main characters of the series. When it comes to notability, however I think Herrick would be notable, propably even more than main character Dominic Rook, who hadn't that much screen time and whose episodes didn't center so much around him. If someone else would make a page of Herrick I would always help (as long as it is an article that is good enough to be published on wikipedia). Before creating a page on my own, however, I rather work on the character pages that already exist. --Dynara23 (talk) 23:57, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Confusion[edit]

Is it Wyndall or Wyndham? The article uses both to refer to old one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.230.238.199 (talk) 02:49, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Annie Sawyer[edit]

I've given Annie Sawyer her own page due to the amount of material, and previous discussion on this page being clogged up. It's far from perfect although I have tried to re-work the appearances section. If anyone has more reliable sources in regards to characterisation (i.e from writers) or reception that would be great! Eshlare (talk) 11:56, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Alex as current/main character[edit]

As confirmed here, Alex is the new regular ghost character for season 5 - given that Hal and Tom are down as current characters and that Annie is down as a past character, surely Alex's status should be in the current character section?

Alex's surname[edit]

It seems that everywhere on the internet she's "Alex Mayhew" by now, but Script editor Laura Cotton posted on twitter that her name is actually "Alex Millar" (https://twitter.com/lalscotton/status/221190199407943681) Where did that Mayhew come from anyway? Could somebody a bit more Wiki-savvy than me please change that? :) 87.155.169.93 (talk) 11:47, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Charakters[edit]

Becca (Season One Episode 1). (Becca (Jessica Harris) works with Mitchell and George at the hospital. George likes her but she is mainly interested in Mitchell. As she and Mitchell go out on a date she is beeing attacked by Lauren. Since she is dying George asks Mitchell to turn her into a vampire. Mitchell refuses, because he has seen what has become of Lauren after he had turned her.)

Baby Rufus and his mother Kathleen (Sara Pascoe) (Season Two Episode 5) (Rufus is a ghost baby. Annie takes care of him, while his mother Kathleen is dating a firemen.)

Natasha Miles (Kathryn Prescott) (Seaoson Five Episode 5) (Discription cointains spoiler: Natasha has a relationship with Tom. She lets Hal drink her blood. The devil manipulates her, so that she commits suicide infront of Hal. Tom thinks Hal has killed her and so he wants to fight him. Natasha however reapears as a ghost and tells Alex that Hal didn't kill her and tried to save her. She says that she was tricked by the devil.)

Ruth Sands (Marion Bailey) (Season 3 Episode 6) (Ruth Sands is the mother of George. After George has left, she has an affair with Georges former teacher, which he hates.)

Alan Cortez(Simon Paisley Day) (Medium) & Carmen Sawyer (Jacquetta May) (Annies mother) Season two Episode 6

I would add those as well, but as English isn't my first language I might make too many mistakes. So it is up to you ;)
