Axis or German operations?[edit]

The title refers to Axis operations, but effectively, only German operations are included. Should the page be renamed, or is there more to come? ANd some sources would also be appreciated. Cheers, Constantine ✍ 10:30, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Its called Axis because Axis forces participated in them

There were some Italian operations in the Med, but I am still getting them

Duplication[edit]

What does this list add to List of World War II military operations, and its subsidiaries, that a merged list would not. If it's more complete (the other list already contains Italian, Hungarian, Finnish, etc operations), then surely the List of World War II military operations should be updated, instead of the creation of yet another list. Interwiki Equivalent[edit]

I was looking for information on Operation Hartmut, and this was the only page that came up (which might partially address Folks at 137's dilemma - this page has smaller suboperations). Relatedly, the German wiki also doesn't have anything on Hartmut, but it does seem to have a page that's a near equivalent to this at de:Decknamen_deutscher_Militäroperationen_im_Zweiten_Weltkrieg. Ostensibly that's "Code Names for German military operations in WW2" which seems to be what this page should actually be called since it only encompassess German operations and - aside from a sporadic few subs in the Pacific and occasional interaction with the Japanese - they were limited to the European Theatre, anyway.
