Dendrocnide meyeniana[edit]

I decided to wp:be_bold and add the sentence "The city is named after a species of tree in the Urticaceae family, Dendrocnide meyeniana, known for the stinging Trichomes on its twigs." That's the same as Laportea meyeniana, which I have heard referred to as Lipa, and sometimes as "Lipang Kalabaw." There's an odd chance that the reference is actually to the shrub Fleurya interrupta, which is locally named "Lipang Aso", but I'll go with the tree. Someone correct me if I'm wrong? Thanks. - Alternativity (talk) 05:16, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Business listings[edit]

The business listing is removed because WP is not a directory, see WP:NOTDIRECTORY. It would be much better to expand the Economy section with prose on the various business sectors. -- P 1 9 9   15:14, 23 August 2012 (UTC) Lipa is a vine that bears fruit in pods that are hairy. when you touch the pods you hairy thing sticks to your skin and will give you hives are are so itchy until you develop fever. It is said that vinigar cures/stops the itch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.203.239.154 (talk) 13:52, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
