Paddle Steamer[edit]

Information board or Lincoln website relating to Prison chaplain.[edit]

I remember seeing the prison chaplain picture with text describing him as "haranguing" the prisoners, a description which the uploader also included. Unfortunately this wasn't referenced and was replaced with "where they were taught how to lead better lives by the chaplain" which is equally unsourced. Can anyone confirm "haranguing" and specify the source? JRPG (talk) 11:39, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

1000 year old church[edit]

Current excavations prior to building a new (and unnecessary?) visitors centre have uncovered a church which may predate the conquerer's castle. I want to let the dust settle, Not enough detail really to modify the article:

Penny Cyclopedia[edit]

In my albeit limited experience, I've not found the Penny Cyclopedia to be terribly reliable so I'm not sure we should be linking to it as a source. There is, however, this from G. T. Clark, a 19-th century antiquarian whose work is still well regarded amongst castellologists (yes that's a word. A silly one, but it is a word). Nev1 (talk) 19:59, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
