Categories[edit]

Please do not delete Category:Australian music or Category:Australian writers. Brett was a significant contributor to Go-Set, earning herself a footnote in Australian music history. Additionally, as well as novels & poetry, Brett writes essays and non-fiction, therefore she should be categorised as an Aust. writer is addition to novelist & poet. --Design 11:41, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • She is not a musician, and writing for a music magazine does not warrant an inclusion in a category about music.--Peta 11:45, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Aust. music category currently includes musicians, venues, DJ's, entrepeneurs, Industry organisations and music mags. I think that music journalists of significance are suitable for inclusion: Brett being one. I'll see if there is a consensus here and at Aust.music cat. --Design 12:17, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Unlike Molly who is actually notable for his role in music over 30+ years, this lady briefly wrote for a music magazine in the 70s. Mabye we would be better served by making a category for Australian music writers or music journalists.--Peta 23:22, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Year of birth[edit]

"Sister Pacts" by Richard Freadman, Meanjin, March, 2002 gives Brett's year of birth as 1946, not 1948 as the article has currently. Do we have a source for the 1948 figure? Thayvian 06:55, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
