Untitled[edit]

Ray Wylie Hubbard mentions lightnin' in "Cooler 'N Hell" and I think that judging from his recent works like *Growl*, Hopkins definitely influenced his work a lot. 24.14.38.143 02:43, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry... I'm looking for Sam Lightnin' Hopkin's "In The Beginning". If someone knows where i can find this song on the net, please tell me... Thanks

I'm brand new to editing Wikipedia articles. I am an amateur Dylan historian and found a Dylan reference on this Lightnin' Hopkins page that seemed wrong, so I did some research and removed it. How is the best way to check in with the author who originally added the reference and see if they have a better source than me?

Album missing from discography??[edit]

The first Lightning Hopkins album I ever heard was Blues for John Glenn. My Dad bought that album shortly after we moved to Houston. The title track was about John Glenn the astronaut...very fitting since Johnson Space Center is in Houston. I do know that at the time that my Dad bought the record that Hopkins was still alive because I remember seeing him twice on Austin City Limits in the proceeding years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.11.28.147 (talk) 05:42, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The best I can find is the single track, "Happy Blues for John Glenn", which was included on his 1962 album, How Many More Years I Got. The discography is not complete however, and I have changed the sub-heading to 'Selected discography'

West End is not in Deep Ellum[edit]

I don't believe I have noticed this Lightnin Hopkins related sculpture in Dallas before, but the West End District (in the western part of downtown) is not in the same place as Deep Ellum (east of downtown). Maybe someone that has spotted this sculpture can edit the Wiki? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.167.168.200 (talk) 03:49, 22 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your geog info is correct, so the sculpture info has been removed. Nurg (talk) 06:02, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
