BBC vs Discovery Version[edit]

Since the BBC one is 10 episodes and the Discovery one is 11 it would be nice to have a section that explained what the differences are other then just the narrators. --Hadees (talk) 22:58, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It says that the 10 minute bonus segment at the end of each episode was removed to make room for adverts and then they were used to make an 11th episode. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.101.72.195 (talk) 13:21, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Episode summaries[edit]

Episode summaries are limited to 250 words to maintain the brevity of the article, and to keep a consistent style for all articles about TV series made by David Attenborough and the BBC Natural History Unit. This word limit is arbitrary but it should be just sufficient to summarise the contents of a one-hour programme consisely. Episode summaries are not intended to be exhaustive, so there may be some scenes from the programme that are not described, and the order in which they are described may be different from the running sequence to suit the narrative flow of the summary.Baguala (talk) 19:57, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Location Names[edit]

After viewing the latest episode 'Plants', I couldn't help but recognise that the 'Devon Wood' used was in fact the localy well known Wistman's Wood on Dartmoor. I cannot find a sign of this being used as a location anywhere in the credits or series site. A reference is needed to confirm this (although I am beyond certain) and maybe several other locations that have been mysteriously omitted from mention throughout the series. 04:03, 08 December 2009 (GMT)

British spelling[edit]

This series was produced and first aired in Britain, so the article uses British English rather than American English spelling. Hence "instalment" rather than "installment" and "programme", not "program". Please refrain from editing spelling unless it's a genuine error.Baguala (talk) 00:31, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Factual Errors[edit]

Episode 2:

Claims pygmy geckos are in the same family tree as T-rex. Though, admittedly they may share a common ancestor (which is true of any animal), typically in this parlance one would presume a T-rex was a direct ancestor of the pygmy gecko. Were the statement made about a bird, that might be the case, but no reptiles on earth today are descendants of the dinosaurs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.38.15.44 (talk) 15:28, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
