Flag image size[edit]

Can I ask what the reasoning is behind making the flag picture 201 pixels as opposed to 200? If there's some significant purpose to this, all the pages on Canadian Lieutenant Governors will have to be changed. --G2bambino 19:05, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Historical standard[edit]

User:Fry1989 has insisted (only in the edit summaries of his reverts that should have, according to WP:BRD, stopped after my first one) that the now defunct personal standard of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario is "relevant" to this article, but has not explained why. The article makes no mention of the lieutenant govenror's past standards, nor is there room in this short article; hence, I moved the image to the more pertinent Flags of the Lieutenant-Governors of Canada. Perhaps Fry1989 could now elaborate on the necessity of this image on the page. --Ħ MIESIANIACAL 01:55, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MIESIANIACAL is being rediculous on this matter. First of all, his claim that "there's no room" is beyond incorrect. The page is not crowded by adding this single image, when in total it only has 5. Second, there is a history section, and just because it doesn't mention the historical standard by name, that's no reason for it not to be shown in the history section. The history section discusses the history of the office, therefore the historical standard is of relevance. Juts cause you can't find any true reason for opposition, don't try and escape by saying it's not worth your time. Fry1989 (talk) 17:16, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Emblem and standard[edit]

Is there any good reason why the Ontario LG's emblem should not be updated to match the one made public on their website? The Office of the Lieutenant Governor has sent me the SVG file to be used on Wikipedia, and the SVG for the standard is on the way. Jagislaqroo (talk) 15:49, 10 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Frankly, I don't see what the difference is between the two files. But, the main issue is the one you inserted is not a copyright-free image. The one from Commons is.
