Accent[edit]

I'm taking out the clause "In spite of her country allure, Nash never developed an accent" as it's a) completely meaningless, as everyone has an accent; b) unnecessary in the context of the paragraph in which it appears; and c) subjective - who is to say that the teenaged Nash had "country allure" and what does this mean anyway? 85.118.29.202 (talk) 13:08, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Christianity?[edit]

Um... I see that Nash is described as a Christian before anything else, and am curious as to why this is deemed to be of primary importance. I have never seen any other article with that kind of beginning. How is her religion relevant, and can (should) this be changed to instead read "is an American singer and composer, best known as the lead vocalist for the rock band Sixpence None the Richer[1]."? Um... Christianity is what she is and puts into all her music. Read the lyrics. And search a little harder and you will find articles on here starting with a person or a band's Christianity, when they are a Christian artist or band. Also, you will find many articles on her Christianity on the net. Personally, I think leading with Leigh's affirmation of her Christian faith is altogether appropriate. Leigh Nash, along with SIXPENCE NONE THE RICHER'S founder, Matt Slocum, have both made much of how they prefer to be known as 'Christians in a band'; this as opposed to being a 'Christian Band'. Their decision to market themselves in this fashion was expressed by their desire to maximize exposure/circulation while affording them the prerogative to write/sing about whatever they wish. Age?[edit]

The article says that Ms. Nash was born in 1976. Then it is said that the first album was released when she was 16. That would date the first album to 1992. But the first Sixpence album was released in 1994 which would make Ms. Nash 18 years old. It does not add up.Tishbite37 (talk) 05:07, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Small Para Rewrite needed[edit]

Leigh has since rejoined Sixpence and worked on a new EP My Dear Machine EP,[5] and the Christmas album The Dawn of Grace with tour dates planned throughout 2008 in the States and Europe. Tess Wiley is also back to support Sixpence's European tour.
Clearly, a dated passage ("... with events planned throughout 2008..."). I'm not familiar enough with Nash's 2008 events to best rewrite it, but thought I'd call it to the attention of someone more in touch with events she's connected to. 167.230.96.9 (talk) 00:58, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
