Assessment[edit]

I have assessed this as a Stub, as it contains only the basic information on the subject, and of low importance, as it is a highly specific topic within Canada. Cheers, CP 15:37, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Correction re party membership[edit]

April 18th, 2011- I reverted Good Olfactory's change...Sandra Morin and Warren McCall should be NDP party members, not Saskatchewan Party members as far as I could find. LC —Preceding undated comment added 20:31, 18 April 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Seating chart needs to be updated[edit]

The seating chart at the end of the article needs to be updated following the 2016 election. (I don't want to try - I'd likely screw it up somehow.  :) ) Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 13:35, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the link to the current plan on the Legislative Assembly web-site: http://www.legassembly.sk.ca/mlas/seating-plan Hope that helps. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 13:38, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship between Legislature and Legislative Assembly[edit]

The Constitution of Canada provides, in the Saskatchewan Act, that Saskatchewan has a Legislature, composed of the Lieutenant Governor and the Legislative Assembly. It's therefore not correct to say that the Legislative Assembly is the same as the Legislature, so I've reverted a recent edit to that effect. It's the same analysis as with the federal Parliament: the House of Commons is not the Parliament; the Legislative Assembly is not the Legislature.
