MIDI is not legacy[edit]

I have removed MIDI port mention from this article as it is NOT a legacy port. Anybody who has any experience in the audio industry knows it is the standard used everywhere from Digitool's protools to high-end soundcards/interfaces. And if you read the MIDI article itself, you'll see immediately that it is far from dead. The interface is old, I admit, but that does not mean it is legacy. The BIOS is old, but noone would call it legacy yet. --Wiki Fanatic | Talk 07:50, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto the PS/2 and joystick ports. Every computer I see uses PS/2 mice and keyboards. Aside from the joystick being combined in the midi port anyway, many game computers still use them. 130.101.100.100 15:24, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I dare say serial isn't either. DIN keyboard connectors - you don't see those too much anymore. RS-232 and RS-485 are still used almost everywhere and have their advantages over USB and Firewire. Towel401 22:34, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
