Lauren also variant?[edit]

Isn't Lauren yet another not currently mentioned variant of Laura? In fact, I was under the impression that Lauren was the more standard name and that Laura was the variant, but I may well have been wrong about that. If they are not variants of a single route name, I would like to see the respective etymologies from anyone who knows where to find such information. Why the boys' names[edit]

Why is which boys' name has the same rank of any interest? It clutters the text horridly.

@previous poster: A "route name" is something like the Great North Road or Highway 101. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.109.27.184 (talk) 18:16, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Namesakes[edit]

Does the 'namesakes' section make any sense at all? Laura is a vastly popular name throughout the western world and has been so for centuries. Searching for 'Laura' in Wikipedia yields more than 46,000 results; so there are probably thousands of notable namesakes. We can't include them all, and if we mention a few, which few Lauras are deserve a mention? Steinbach (talk) 00:40, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
