SPOILERS[edit]

I'm not sure what the policy is here regarding spoilers, but Laura is one of the great mystery films of all times and not everyone has seen it. Might it not be preferable to warn readers that there is a spoiler in the plot outline which gives away the film's ending?Rarmin (talk) 23:29, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think Rarmin’s point ought to be taken on-board, that this is one of the classic mystery films, and therefore occupies a special category in the spoiler debate - what we might call twist-heavy.

For those particular films, I think that the lede should include a short summary of the plot, including a mention that the twist is particularly dramatic. This will alert film-fans not to read the plot section if they’re about to watch the film. Valetude (talk) 13:09, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Portrait of Laura[edit]

For years I wondered what had happened to the portrait of Laura that hangs over the fireplace. Apparently, it is now in the possession of writer Russell Baker (who hosted "Masterpiece Theatre" from 1992-2004.) I got this information from Peisha McPhee, Katharine McPhee's mother, who mentioned the fact in one of her singing classes that I attended. Twin Peaks Connection[edit]

Not sure if this is important or just "trivia" , but this film played a fairly big role in the creation of Twin Peaks. The obvious is "Laura" Palmer , the lead character , but there is also "Dianne" the unseen assistant to Agent Dale Cooper , and most notably the mina bird - killed by a shotgun blast(!) - named "Waldo Lydecker". 75.104.162.211 (talk) 22:56, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
