Squad-level[edit]

To whoever changed the phrase "unit level wargame" to "squad level wargame", note that in this game, one controls units independently of each other, even members of the same squad. This is different to a squad level wargame such as Advance Wars, or on the tabletop, regular Warhammer 40,000, where the squad is the smallest atomic unit, rather than the individual soldier. MSX porting[edit]

Public domain[edit]

I sent an email to Julian Gollop some time ago, and he confirmed that "I have officially said that my old games are all public domain - Chaos, rebelstar, laser squad - but note that Rebelstar is now trademarked by Namco". Unfortunately, commons:user:tsca didn't quite believe me and deleted a bunch of C64 Laser Squad screenshots from the commons, without bothering to check first. If anyone wants to put this on OTRS, and after confirmation (specifying which games and which versions), make a mention of this in the article, fix the image copyright tags and maybe move them to commons, that would be wonderful. I would do this myself, except I don't really want a third argument with tsca regarding Laser Squad screenshots. :-) --StuartBrady (Talk) 13:15, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Publisher[edit]

The article and the infobox are at odds with each other as to the developer and publisher. SharkD 20:01, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From the top off my head I seem to recall that the developer was Target Games and the publisher Blade Software. I understand that Target Games (under Julian Gollop) has since become Codo Technologies, but is there a Wikipedia guideline that states a historical article has to have the current company name rather than the name that was actually used at the time of release? -- Nreive (talk) 16:49, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Target Games originally published this themselves before Blade Software took up distribution.
