Images[edit]

The gallery section of this article is way, way too big. There should be an image of the station in recent times, and one or two images to illustrate the history inline. When some prose is written about the accident then one or two of the images can be used inline to illustrate that. All the other images belong at Commons per WP:IG. I have pulled together the images and text for the 1995 accident together.
There is a IP user who is trawling images from Geograph and Commons and putting them randomly into relevant articles. --Stewart (talk | edits) 21:21, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
All gone - the images are in commons. --Stewart (talk | edits) 21:39, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Source re. crash[edit]

RAILSCOT | Photographs of Largs has the description "Accident at Largs on 11 July 1995 involving the 0615 service from Glasgow Central. The trains brakes failed, it hit the buffers, jumped 3 feet in the air, ran on through the station, then through the shops on Main Street. [Witness statement at the time]. Remarkably there were no serious injuries...but Largs station was never the same again!" [italics in original] dunno if that's a good source, . . dave souza, talk 19:53, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Informative photo[edit]

Largs station (C) Thomas Nugent :: Geograph Britain and Ireland shows the reconstructed station, and could be uploaded as an illustration for this article. . dave souza, talk 21:07, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It was uploaded in February 2011, and may be found at File:Largs station - geograph.org.uk - 961364.jpg. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:08, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
