"is scheduled to be completed in summer 2007" is out of date What's the scoop? Carrionluggage (talk) 21:32, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Olds Motor Works 4a18686r.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on May 17, 2013. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2013-05-17. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Lansing Car Assembly
The Olds Motor Works (pictured between 1905 and 1920) was an automobile factory in Lansing, Michigan, US. Established by Ransom E. Olds of Olds Motor Works, it came under the ownership of General Motors in 1908. The plant was demolished in 2006–07.Photo: Detroit Publishing Co.; Restoration: Jbarta

Skybridge[edit]

I worked in the assembly plant, next to King Boulevard, and there was no sky-bridge. I am not sure how this crept into the story. Look at maps.google.com, and place the little yellow manikin on the southbound Boulevard (west bridge) and look east. You will see that the north bridge spans hundreds of meters of land with railroad tracks and cement going under it, as does the west bridge. We drove the cars off the line and under the road to the final check building, but only if they had an error tag. Those cars which had passed all inspections during assembly, and at the end of the assembly line, were driven right onto a train car inside the building.
