Updates needed on July 1 for annexation of Kendleton[edit]

It's a done deal, Kendleton ISD will close and barring a rejection by the United States Department of Justice, be annexed into Lamar CISD. Please update both articles on that date. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 21:32, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Consolidated districts info removed from article[edit]

I noticed that some information about the consolidated school districts was just removed from the article without being replaced elsewhere, with no edit comments. I'm not close enough to know how best to resolve this (maybe create a history section?), but I wanted to preserve the text+citations for future editors:

The district had served middle and high school students from the Kendleton Independent School District's boundaries before the district's demise, and after the district ended LCISD began serving the former Kendleton district's elementary school population. Pending Justice Department approval, the Kendleton Independent School District and its one school, Powell Point Elementary, were merged into Lamar CISD on July 1, 2010. Kendleton ISD ceased operations on that date.[1]

I hope it's helpful! --Hebisddave (talk) 14:58, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Hebisddave: Thank you for noticing that! I restored it: Information on former school districts should be in the article. WhisperToMe (talk) 07:39, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oldest boundary map of LCISD online[edit]

I found this from 2001: http://web.archive.org/web/20030412233748/http://www.lcisd.org/DistrictbrInformation/MapofLCISD/Images/map.pdf

One can check between this one and now, when there are many more high schools. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:19, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
